Nicole DeWaele helped us purchase a home in Del Mar, CA in 2010. Her work with us was, in a word, exceptional. We currently reside in the Midwest, and in January 2010, decided to start looking for vacation homes around north San Diego County. Our initial thought was that we would look at real estate over the coming year and perhaps find something we liked to use as a vacation home that we could eventually relocate to. A friend of ours recommended Nicole’s team for our real estate needs. I contacted Marty and sent her a list of our desires in a home. She was unavailable for the weekend that we were flying into town, so she assigned Nicole to help us put together a list of properties and take us on a tour of neighborhoods and showings. We are so very glad that we looked at homes with Nicole! Part way through the day of showings, after listening carefully to all of our comments and really hearing what we liked and disliked about each home, Nicole suggested that we look at a home that was not on our preplanned list. Her intuition on what we would love, after only knowing us a few hours, was spot on. We walked onto the property and fell in love. We didn’t want to leave. We had a million questions and Nicole knew all the answers—she made us feel so comfortable and informed, we quickly made an offer in a tough seller’s market. The closing was far from smooth sailing. The title company made a huge mistake, the escrow agent was miserable. If it hadn’t been for Nicole’s constant attention and help, we may well have walked away from the deal. Even after the closing, Nicole continued to help in ways that are on no real estate agent’s list of responsibilities. From putting us in contact with all the service providers for the home, to bringing in packages we shipped, to making sure we were properly greeted when we arrived for our first vacation to the house, she did not overlook a single detail. Our parents are now looking for a home in San Diego County, and of course, they are working with Nicole. They could not be more pleased! They fully agree with us that she is head and shoulders above any real estate agent we have ever used in the past. Whenever we hear of anyone wanting to buy or sell a home in Southern California, we will make sure they call Nicole first!

Working with Nicole DeWaele Frieman made the process of selling our home as stress-free as it could possibly be. We were impressed every step of the way with Nicole's outstanding attention to detail, knowledge, and commitment to making this transition the smoothest possible. From the outset, she provided optimistic yet realistic counsel for how to approach the sale of our condo. The amount of market research she conducted prior to us even signing a listing agreement was impressive. This was our first experience selling a home, but I don't think I'd be mistaken in saying she went above and beyond in helping us present the ideal listing. It quickly became evident how advantageous it was for us to draw on that research: Within a day of officially listing, just hours after our first open house, we had an offer within 5% of our asking. Nicole was an expert negotiator in the countering process, and her vigilance paid off for us, both in reaching a final purchase agreement and also after we opened escrow, during the buyers' inspections and appraisal. She kept up with other sales in our area and continued to work to secure backup offers. She made sure the buyers had an accurate representation of the home, even going over to make instructional videos for them! You can't beat that peace of mind that your agent is looking out for the interests of everyone involved in the transaction, especially when you've already moved to a different city as we had done. I can't imagine having had any better proxy representing us. She continued to push for us through the close of escrow, including following up with loan officers on the buyers' behalf when they hit delays. Nicole gave 100% to seeing this deal through to a happy end. She was completely on top of all the paperwork, all the disclosures and inspections, all aspects of staging and preparing the condo for the new owners, even overseeing a fumigation scheduled by the HOA. She even forwarded any mail that the post office didn't catch! I cannot imagine what more she could have done for us – but I'm pretty sure if I'd thought of something, she would have taken care of it with her characteristic smile and finesse. The bottom line: Nicole was stellar, and you would be making your own experience infinitely better by using her as your agent.

Nicole was attentive to our every need. She went above and beyond to provide excellent service and expertise. There was an issue with an inspection item, and she brought in an a knowledgeable expert quickly to access the problem. She negotiated the best deal for us at the best terms.

Nicole came highly recommended, and she proved extremely helpful from day one. She was very patient with us, took time to understand our needs, didn't tire of showing us around, and then moved quickly to negotiate the best terms to complete the purchase. She was always a step ahead. She thought of every detail and advised us about all aspects of buying a house. She is simply the best!
